Our Mission
Our role over the past 16 years has been to research the value and validity of electromagnetic and vibrational energy technologies. Please read our story below and you will understand the reason for our existence. We pledge ourselves to providing you superb customer service, supported information about the products, a clinical research community, and efficient repair services.
Our company is proud to provide you with these products for your personal and professional exploration. We have chosen to be in role that many would not attempt today - to manufacture electronic products in the USA with well-compensated employees. We began with a product that almost no one knew anything about in 1994! It would seem to be nearly impossible in today's economic and global business world. However, we are providing these hand-fabricated instruments because we believe they have merit, have been shown so through the reports of thousands of users, and because they are close to our heart.
Over the years we have been blessed with wonderful customers, primarily holistic health care professionals. Their credentials and educational portfolios are becoming more impressive over time as the body of knowledge has grown exponentially. Others come from medical academia and professions. They have followed their instincts into holistic medicine. We are grateful for the contributions of those who have supported our products with sales, research, and moral support! We thank you all and dedicate ourselves to serving you!
Lori, Steve, and the entire staff of Arcturus Star Products, L.L.P.
Thomas E. Croley, Chief Scientific and Clinical Advisor
Dr. Croley is Professor Emeritus, Department of Physical Therapy, Biology, and Dental Hygiene at Texas Women's University. He has authored or was a prime contributor to nearly 100 peer review journals articles and manuscripts. He holds BS and MS degrees from East Texas University and a Ph.D. (Human Anatomy) from Baylor. His expertise is also in acupuncture, as well as in cutting-edge biomedical technologies.
His curiosity around energy "anatomy" led him to study in China. He has performed as a researcher for several companies in Photo-Biostimulation, including lasers. He is currently Director of the Gutenlase Energy Research Center in Denton, Texas. He advances knowledge daily in bio-resonance and photo-therapies while helping clients with stubborn chronic problems. He is eminently qualified to guide Arcturus Star Products as our scientific advisor, as he has since 2003. He continues to be a shining light as a pioneer in our field of light and electromagnetic therapies for the good of mankind.
Open Letter from Thomas Croley
To Whom It May Concern:
For more than four and a half years, I have used the Lymphstar Pro and the Gem Galaxy cold laser in treating more than 150 clients with varying problematic conditions. I have not had a single adverse reaction in these individuals when treated with either or both of these instruments.
I have worked with many other kinds of lasers for the past twenty years and the Gem Galaxy cold laser is the best that I have used. I feel that the design of having three simultaneous light modalities is an excellent concept which is an addition to the concept of the use of lower wattage. Many users of lasers that don't have the proper background training think that the more power that a laser emits means better results - which is totally incorrect. I have always worked on the system of meridians and acupoints with the cold laser which dictates that you use a comparable energy level to facilitate healing and reduction of pain. If the energy is too high you impede this action.
The Lymphstar allows the lymph system to be opened up to drain the toxins, etc. better and faster. Clients have come to me just to get a lymph treatment alone. I precede all of my treatments with a lymph treatment first. The Lymphstar will be an added asset to healing when used either alone are in conjunction with other instrumentation. Because the Lymphstar emits a low level energy within the frequency range that it does, this allows stimulation of the Autonomic Nerves without doing harm to the tissues of the body. Clients are immediately relaxed and their tissues begin releasing the toxins thereby cleaning their bodies of these harmful chemicals.
Sincerely,
Thomas E. Croley, Ph.D.

Our Story: Lori Malec Sweet, Donald Steven Sweet
Written by Lori Sweet
I have been interested in natural forms of healing since the 1970s when, as a young mother, I used herbs, yoga, and shiatsu massage on myself and family for routine ailments. I was a bit ahead of my time, it seemed, in Michigan and Iowa where we lived. My professional training was as an artist and teacher and I pursued several different arts - related businesses and teaching opportunities over the years. I loved being a potter, sculptor, and teacher. It seemed natural to me to be intrigued with natural and indigenous forms of healing, too.
Life took a serious turn for me in 1984 when my son, age 8, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It was devastating news and we were advised to take him to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. I couldn't believe that we were there - it seemed like a dream, a very bad dream! Nate struggled through the 3 years of chemotherapy while I used all the other therapies that I did know to help him endure - massage, acupressure, diet, prayer and all the TLC I could muster. I threw myself into studying cancer, its origins, current therapies, and shared emotional support with the other parents and 'St Jude kids' during that time. There was quite a large group of kids from West Michigan, but they were from everywhere, even South America. I think of all the hours spent living at the motel and hospital, most of it without friends or family, because they were 700 miles away and had responsibilities. It was and still is the most difficult time in my life.
Professional holistic health care was not available in our Midwestern community. It would have been wonderful for me to have had more support for mitigating the effects of chemotherapy, of which I am now aware. I knew in my heart that there may be better ways to treat this dreaded disease, or at least make the chemo more tolerable and less harmful.
Nate survived and stayed in remission. But I certainly didn't stop my search for his continued health. In 1989 my curious mind could not rest when I was introduced to some electronic devices being sold to home users in my home town in Michigan. The presenter told me that many people were helped with various aliments using these small devices. They generated low energy frequencies from the electromagnetic spectrum with different methods of delivery. He explained that the medical profession used these energies, but in much higher intensities and in diagnostics.
He gave me a book that documented a history of electromagnetic healing devices dating to the early years of the 1900s! Was this true? I couldn't rest. I plunged into reading everything I could get my hands on in the area of alternative health, quantum physics, mind-body medicine, the politics of cancer, and other "radical subjects". I shared the devices with friends and family. I saw results that made me outraged - why weren't these available to help suffering people? Or in research at St. Jude's? As I studied the answer became clear – because someone must do the work.
Within 4 years I began a small manufacturing business for our own innovations. Our customers were primarily holistic health practitioners of all types, although home users also purchased the products. We were encouraged by these pioneering, dedicated healers who have been the clinical researchers who taught me the benefits of our various devices. My own personal philosophy in sharing with others has always been "Don't say anything except what I know to be true." I always had my own skepticism as to how this all worked, with only anecdotes and my own personal observations for data. We sent our customers to trusted practitioners for answers to questions that I did not have. This has seemed to work as we have grown over the years. I look at my role as an educator, not a sales person. One has to instill confidence with clear information in order to convince others to try an expensive, little known product!
Our most popular device has been one that is called the Lymphstar Pro Lymphatic Therapy Instrument. It is always acclaimed by the people who use it as an incredible tool for assisting the body in repairing itself. The lymphatic system is the seat of immune function and is addressed in holistic health for its role in transport of nutrients and removal of toxins. Allopathic medicine doesn't have a way to help the body repair but holistic has many. The use of lymphatic therapy will grow as the aging baby boomers look for help with their health and vitality. Collecting data and improving clinical research is our latest focus. Dynamic new clinical people are doing the work, seeing repeatable results and offering their support. We have several other photonic devices and are researching new ideas at all times.
The year 2007 will mark 13 years in the manufacturing and sales of these products for me - 17 years since I first found out about this "unknown" technology with possibilities." I have talked to many hundreds of professionals and lay clients, learning from each one and observing the changing world. I've expanded my knowledge of electromagnetics in healing through specializing in it and working with talented engineers, energy healers, and academics like Peter Moscow, Ed Skilling, Valerie Hunt, Eldon Byrd, Tom Croley, Cory Carter, Jean Reist, and many others. I am working toward a Master of Science Degree in Natural Health and preparing to write a book, lecture, and teach on a regular basis.
Recently, many more medical professionals have come to our products, including oncologists, plastic surgeons, anti-aging specialists, and internists. The level of sophistication of holistic professionals in the area of the human bio-energy field has grown. Many related professions are utilizing low frequency, electromagnetic, and photonic energies; esthetics and spa, neuroscience, psychology, and more. New products appear each day. This has become a true industry!
Nate is 31 years old now. He has two college degrees, in natural resources management and information technology. He creates our website and worked for us for several summers. He's a wonderful person and continues to be my inspiration for doing this work! My enduring dream is to have the opportunity to take our products to St. Jude's to help the children with cancer and other diseases. I think that will be a reality in the not too distant future!
About Steve Sweet
We started our current company, Arcturus Star Products, in 1998. My second husband, Steve Sweet, joined me in creating it. He is an incredibly talented, energetic, and hard working man. As a jet engine mechanic in the Air Force he discovered his love of working with his hands with machinery. His professional life began in the furniture industry where he was trained as an industrial engineer. After working in industry for 20 years he began a business making custom fine furniture and had a woodworking factory. We met through my art shop and I sold his beautiful work. When Nate became ill he generously ran the store while I was gone for 3 months. He was a great friend then and now. His fine ability to fabricate things of function and beauty is a great asset. His passion is in running a small factory and he works on everything from the electronics, training and managing employees, to building tooling, machinery, plastic fabrication, and construction on our shop building. I truly marvel at our ability to manufacture these devices completely in the USA, pay good wages, and contribute to our local community. For this I credit Steve Sweet.
We are very proud of our accomplishments. We have bootstrapped a company in a field no one really knew about, survived, and grown it to a level of success. We have done this with a grass roots approach to the wonderful people in the holistic health community. We have pledged ourselves to service to others and kindness in our business model. Some have come into our circle and then gone. We thank them for their contributions to "the work." One of the chief things I have learned is that there are many different ways to healing and each individual needs a unique approach. We all vibrate at our own frequency. There's room for all genuine approaches to thrive in this world.
Freedom of choice in healthcare; the work of overcoming disease and despair with options to drugs and surgery; this is the focus of all this, not our small enterprise. It goes on in many places now and we honor all others that practice right action and right purpose. And we are in gratitude for this opportunity to help improve the quality life for us all.

For Steve Sweet and Arcturus Star Products
Dedication
I dedicate this essay to my parents. First to my late father, Stanley Malec, who instilled in me a love of entrepreneurship that he could never fulfill. He always calmed my fears and showed leadership in his many hours of community service while raising seven terrific children. And, of course, I honor my mother, Dolly, turning 80 this year. Her support is unflinching, her intuition undeniable. I could never find a better mom on this earth than you!
Steve joins me in thanking our families for supporting us in order to help others in the greater world; these include his mother and stepfather, our 5 children, 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 11 brothers and sisters, and many, many nieces and nephews. We love you all very much!
